Prt. Sydney Binding, formerly of the King's Shropshire Light Infantry, served with No.6 Commando from, at least, 5th June 1944.

Prt. Sydney Binding was reported as Killed In Action (KIA) on 12th June 1944, aged 20 years, when he stood on a landmine whilst out on patrol.

He was the son of Mrs. M. E. Binding, of Acton, Middlesex, and is laid to rest in Ranville War Cemetery (Calvados France).  Grave IVA.M.16.
