VI COMMANDO

Prt. Sydney Binding, formerly of the King's Shropshire Light Infantry, served with No.6 Commando from, at least, 5^th June 1944.

Prt. Sydney Binding was reported as Killed In Action (KIA) on 12th June 1944, aged 20 years, when he stood on a landmine whilst out on patrol.

He was the son of Mrs. M. E. Binding, of Acton, Middlesex, and is laid to rest in Ranville War Cemetery (Calvados France).  Grave IVA.M.16.
